You and me, our needs are all the same—we need good health to enable us to face each and every work day. But for most of us, getting sick become distressing when we have little means to get well. Close to a decade ago, Generika Drugstore was conceived to address this sad plight of many Filipinos: lower-income families can’t afford basic medications because of the high cost of branded medicines. | VIDEO: Man on the street interviews, interspersed with VO Visual to show sick individual TEXT: A CHANGE (appears) WAS NEEDED THEN (appears after previous) | |
| INTERVIEW (PRESIDENT): “Walang Generika Drugstore ngayon if my pamangkin, and now associate Julien Bello, who used to work for a microfinance foundation, had not engaged me in a conversation almost ten years ago. “That fateful meeting was a change in itself—a decision to change the business I wanted to be in. There I was, ready to retire from 30 years of working with the Ayala Group of Companies, and initially, wanting to go into the real estate business, because that was my specialty. But that talk with Julien happened, and I knew…something had to change.” | INTERVIEW With President WITH CHARGEN: Teodoro L.
