Fuzzy

My mind is blank
As the beginnings of this sheet
And hopeful fingers fumble for words ripe and sweet
It began with admiring the cloud-filled dome
Which greeted me by way of rain at home
It stained orange purple red, gripped my fret
Strung a raw chord as I danced a misstep
And just above the horizon
It hovered, a 360-degree view
Bright as sheets washed on a sunny day so blue
It went on with not knowing
If it were to sit or stall or bend or brew
Perhaps it’ll find its way to a me and a you
But in between
These clouds of things, this mess of a weather
Music dance trance you twirling band leader
I’ll let you blur tear my sheets asunder
Ink-filled pages that I cannot decipher
